Vassily A. Koroteyev

1906, village Grishino- 1969, Moscow

During 1920-1925 V. Koroteyev studied at the Moscow State Art Printing Workshops under L.F. Zhegin, N.M. Chernyshev, M.S. Rodionov, S.V. Gerasimov; beginning with 1923 he kept on under K.S. Melnikov, F.A. Modorov, P.I. Kotov. He belonged to "The Path of Pictorial Art" Group established in 1926. He worked as a designer at the Moscow Sculpture Factory; at the Green Theater of the Gorky Park as well as at the museums of anthropology and history and the Exhibition of Economic Achievements in Moscow (1953-1966). He participated in exhibitions since 1927. The 1^st Exhibition of "The Path of Pictorial Art" Group (Moscow, 1927); The Exhibition of "The Path of Pictorial Art" Group. Gallery Bilier, Paris, France; London, Great Britain; Brussels, Belgium (1928); The 3^rd Exhibition of "The Path of Pictorial Art" Group (Moscow, 1930). Works of the artist are kept in the collections of the State Tretyakov's Gallery; the A.S. Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts; in private collections in Russia and Germany.

Коротеев Василий Андреевич

1906, д. Гришино - 1969, Москва

С 1920 по 1925 год учился в Московских Государственных художественных мастерских печатного дела под руководством следующих учителей: Жегин Л.Ф., Чернышев Н.М., Родионов М.С., Герасимов С.В., после 1923 году - у Мельникова К.С., Модорова Ф.А., Котова П.И. Был членом группы «Путь живописи», образовавшейся в 1926 году. Работал художником-оформителем на Московской скульптурной фабрике, в Зеленом театре ЦПКиО им. Горького, в Антропологическом и Историческом музеях. С 1953 по 1966 год - на ВДНХ. Участник выставок с 1927 года: Первая выставка группы «Путь живописи» (Москве, 1927); выставки группы «Путь живописи» в галерее Bilier (Париж, 1928); в Лондоне, Брюсселе (1928); 3-я выставка группы (Москва, 1930). Работы художника находятся в ГТГ, ГРМИИ им. А.С.Пушкина, в частных коллекциях России и Германии.
